Fun fact: when I got to my first unit as a 2LT, MAJ Coyle was our S-3.

As I listen to the VA Secretary, all I can think is “wow, this guy is a tremendous asshole”. Then I looked him up and saw he was an O-6 Air Force Reserve Chaplain, and it all made sense.

What are your thoughts on this skull as part of a US Army battalion identifier? The skull became an adopted symbol for 1-32 Armor, 3rd AD after inflicting a stinging defeat on a SS panzer grenadier unit in WWII…and has stuck w the battalion since then as part of the unit lineage.
