✊Today, our members rallied at City Hall to support four @NYCCouncil bills that would protect NYC’s sanctuary city laws.

The NYPD’s collaboration with ICE agents last week during the Chinatown raid was blatant disregard for our sanctuary laws & New Yorkers won’t have it!

On Nov. 26, we filed a Motion to reopen his old deportation case- a court order he was unaware of. With that, his deportation is automatically stayed.

Allan is currently at a detention facility in NJ where ICE is not giving him all his prescribed medications at his scheduled times, which he takes for anxiety & depression.

Allan, our legal client, should be with his husband Matthew during this holiday season. Instead, he’s being kept in a NJ detention center.

Additionally, ICE is not giving Allan all of his prescribed medications at his scheduled times.

Help us reunite them. Sign the petition at bit.ly/FreeAllan.

Int. 431-A already has 32 co-sponsors alongside a broad coalition of stakeholders who are pushing for this bill to pass before the end of session.

☎️ Call your councilmember & urge them to pass this VITAL bill to protect the street vendors that make our city vibrant!
December 4, 2025 at 7:56 PM
🛒The new version of Int.431-A would balance street vending incentives with enforcement which, among other benefits for street vendors, allows issuing licenses to bring existing vendors into the regulatory system.

✊Today, we’re joining street vendors, advocates & elected officials in front of City Hall to support @cmpisanchez.bsky.social’s amended version of bill Int. 431-A, which reforms NYC’s street vending system.

Allan has no criminal record & is immediately eligible to get a green card through his US citizen husband. Instead, he's at an NJ detention center & ICE is not giving Allan all of his prescribed medications at his scheduled times.

NY just became the first state in the nation to eliminate co-pays for maintenance & emergency inhalers!

We thank bill sponsors, Sen. Rivera + AM @votejgr.bsky.social for their tremendous work in passing this bill.

No one should choose between buying medicine & other everyday essentials!

📱 Using your #RightToRecord!

In the U.S.– no matter what your immigration status is– you have the right to record immigration enforcement agents. This is a powerful tool for exposing their tactics, combatting abuse, and fighting detention.

The Protect Our Courts Act (POCA) helps people safely attend NY state & city courts without fearing an ICE arrest.

Although this is a victory for our communities, it's not applicable to federal courts. Immigrants attending their hearings at federal courts can still be subjected to ICE kidnappings.

💊🛒No one should have to choose between medicine or groceries.
