Craig Street produced iirc. Like the rejected version of Norah Jones debut and Joe Henry's Scar. Also, the smoky KD Lang album. I like them all.

Mainly due to the trumpet tone but also the set list. That’s how I remember it.

Me too, I adore that sound. Phil Urso is also in that group of Lester devotees. Those Blackhawk albums are glorious. The one at the Manne Hole is too derivative of the sound of the Miles Davis 5t imho
