I am so, so sorry to hear that their work got lifted. That is deplorable. As someone who has been through something similar, that his soul crushing to hear. You all deserved better from people who should have done better. There is no one in the right here so it's even harder to come to terms with.

MY WORDS we're stolen. He likely agreed to this as an emotionally broken man and was not capable of advocating for himself. Claiming art theft here is not the moral high ground if everybody did it.

He's not accusing them of theft, I am. He apparently feels terrible about this situation. As for him taking from fandom sites, I can't comment on that because I don't know. But, theft is theft, Lauren. Two wrongs don't make a right. Writing is art too, don't forget that and his was stolen.-

social media team is incompetent if they 1) didn't catch his regular arguments online and 2) reacted so suddenly. Only a PORTION of his proceeds should have gone as should a portion of yours. You did something worse than saying disgusting shit online, you thought it would be okay to agree to take-

What Moses said was disgusting, but Bitmap should NEVER have accepted this deal and think it was okay to donate nothing themselves. Regardless of what you think of Moses, there are words for unpaid labor and they are "slavery" and "theft. If monsters like Neil Gaiman can still get paid, 1/?

Dear supporters of Bitmap Books,

Although I stand by the fact that Moses’ comments were ill-advised and insensitive, the whole thing blew up and was made much bigger than it needed to be. Moses has publicly apologised for any offence caused, as has the original poster of the comments who did not intend to cause this much trouble. I do not feel that this warrants an author losing his livelihood and ruining years of hard work to produce the book.

Despite multiple accusations to the contrary, Moses freely agreed to donate his royalties to charity. There was no coercion from me, however we both recognise that due to an increasingly stressful situation that decisions were rushed on both sides. I’m pleased to say that Moses and I have spoken again today, we stand together, and have agreed that he will receive 100% of his royalties.

Maybe I was hasty in my response, and I’m happy to admit to that. At the time I sincerely thought I was doing the right thing to diffuse an increasingly difficult situation. I will commit to donating all company profits from this first print run to the charity, Special Effect.

The bottom line is that is that Moses has apologised for his original comments, and will now be paid the royalties that are rightfully his.

Moses and myself have received a large amount of personal abuse and threats over the past few days. We hope that this statement will bring some closure to what has happened.

Adol, chill. Good lord. 😳💖 That glow up! I don't want to add this game to our possible cosplay list but it's so good. I love the designs. They didn't have to make a game to appeal to me specifically. Also, Adol is now the enemy of the Romun empire which is something we should all aspire to be.

I opened the app up to some really crummy behavior, so let me cleanse it with a smile.
This adorable boy is in Ys 9 and I'm not sure I'll ever recover. Xavier is Baby and I will not change my mind. Also, the little maniac has a sword. I love himb and I love watching my husband play this game. 💖
