It’s 82%-95% I misquoted the 92% from a different study but it does fall within that range. Whichever way you look at it the vast overwhelming majority involve zero shots fired. Which makes sense intuitively. Nobody wants to get shot & most predators don’t want a fight they just want easy victims.

92% of DGU’s 0 shots are fired. Concealed carry: all around win/win for society but also human right so even if the averages & stats weren’t on our side it would still be none of your business what people privately do to stay safe. Relying on a (fascist) government for protection is your choice.

They’re under 1% of gun homicides. Handguns dominate & it’s not close. AR’s just look scary to people who don’t know anything about guns outside of movies. Thats why these bans often don’t include stuff like the mini-14, basically a wooden AR15. It’s ALL looks/vibes based.

STILL pushing new rifle & magazine bans after all this (with exemptions for cops & feds outrageously) is WILDLY out of touch. The left was already pro-2A “under no pretext” but now even liberals are joining us & arming up in historic numbers.

Many are just reflexively trying to ban entire categories of firearms they don’t understand on a whim (which are completely irrelevant in gun stats) because they look scary or icky to white sheltered liberals.

4) It casually states “automatic weapons” like they’re an issue today. Assault rifles like the M16 I carried in the military are automatic weapons that have been banned since 1986 & the pre-ban ones are only available to the wealthy/well connected which I’m convinced y’all want with all gun rights.

The left has a centuries long history of being pro working class gun rights. Working class disarmament is a liberal position that is fundamentally anti-worker and authoritarian. It also enables fascists who will still have their guns.

The majority of mass shootings are committed with handguns and the fact that the cops stood outside and didn’t do shit is extra proof that doubling down on only cops & government should be allowed to buy them is an incredibly stupid position that can only come from immense sheltered privilege.

How can you correctly admit how terroristic Trumps *already armed to the teeth* fascist cult is & that minorities like trans people should arm themselves then continue quadrupling down on new assault weapon bans & magazine bans that block the rest of us? According to NY Times mass shootings with AR-15 killed 177 from 2007-2019. That’s 18/year so the annual stats I gave were actually a very liberal number. Maybe it also included stuff like negligent discharges, hunting accidents, home defense; things that could happen identically with any other gun.

I’m pushing hard for answers bc I know Kyle is good faith and it’s shocking how the left wing position on guns is never even mentioned while so many liberals just want to mope around about how fascist & scary it all is while doing nothing to prepare/become hard targets but also block the rest of us.
