Like the Jester is generally seen as evil (obviously lol), but then in the underground of the capital is a kind of orphanage/hospital/homeless shelter that was run by his followers! Kalindra spent some time there and learned how to heal with her bloodmagic from them :)

Yesss I love the deities 🙂‍↕️ they're all embodiments of concepts and none of them are purely "good" or "evil". Like the goddess of life and nature is also the goddess of disease etc. Some are definitely more malicious/powerhungry than others tho

A child with weird kinda eldritch magical powers she was supposed to catch for the Inquisition. Knowing what the Inquisition does to arcane anomalies she... kept her instead lol

Funnily enough the Jester is generally seen as a more "evil" deity, since his themes are blood, violence, torture but also emotions and creativity. But he and the faith in him really became her safe haven throughout the campaign ❤️

I think she really, fully recovered when she ended up dying in a magical mealstrom. The Jester basically rebuilt her and turned her into a vampire in exchange for all of her remaining soul. So she fully belongs to him. Which also means she's mostly safe from other god's shenanigans

Yes! The Jester (that's the god lol) really was the mvp deity of our campaign in general haha.
And yes, she made a full recovery! It definitely took some time tho, especially since she ended up being embraced MANY times and absolutely high on alchemical drugs (without them the embrace didn't stick)

It was fun for me! Kinda terrifying for everyone else, especially Kalindra! Bc it was VERY well established that the Embrace is NOT something you can recover from normally. So I might as well could've killed her off for good

It's a little complicated but basically the country where she was has a powerful Godking and he's... Uh... not a fan of disobedience. And since she staged a prisonbreak and killed a few guards she had the .... honor to be "embraced" by him

Luckily I was able to listen to the others playing so I knew what was going on 😂 we always play online through discord. I just couldn't join bc I was in a psychiatric hospital and had a roommate (and I did NOT want to explain to this very nice, middle aged lady what the fuck I was doing lol)

The timing was SO bad 😭 especially bc she and Njal ended up in prison together but the others were only able to free Njal (bc I couldn't play for a few weekends) and Kalindra got... divinely brainwashed basically. So then they had to tell Civaal that they couldn't save her rip
