I have a new favorite way of explaining light verbs

"take a walk" has take as a light verb and the whole phrase overall is a verb phrase that means walking (ish)
but walking has nothing to do with taking

saw a CAUTION WINDOW WASHING ABOVE sign, looked up, there was no window washing, but did get to behold a pretty ceiling
good trick, I'm going to put up signs like that everywhere to make people look up more
