This is Stella an occasional visitor. She belongs to the retired missionary nuns who founded the school where I work and I think she reminds them of their days in Latin America, Asia and Africa. Her character is a mix of affection, malice, curiosity and caprice.

This evening I was in an Ethiopian restaurant, enjoying the diversity of our city and when the news alerts came in the staff started to take down the shutters. They were highly concerned for customers leaving. We emerged to the stink of smoke from a nearby burning bus.
