It’s so nice that when life gives you lemons, you can make a lemony garlicky shrimp pasta
It’s always such a shame that more SF residents don’t pay attention to local politics because it’s way more entertaining than the national stuff.

It was strangled in its cradle by powerful people who didn't want to be subjected to its searching gaze. It didn't go even close to far enough.
Today is a good day to remember, and to say, that the #MeToo movement was right, and was righteous, and has been vindicated over and over again. There was no overreach. There was no excess. There was no they-went-too-far.

So much work remains to be done.

Cinema Sins has much to pay for, but the idea we have to explain every last detail from when a movie ends and the sequel begins is just bad writing.
James Bond’s death in No Time to Die is causing a nightmare for the next film. Writers are stuck because Bond “was blown to pieces.”

Anthony Horowitz, author of three 007 novels, says:

“You can't have him wake up in shower and saying it was all a dream."

Congestion pricing was helpful because it reminded me who has their own Baileys, but progressive
the congestion pricing thing was kinda a massive red flag here. even the median progressive believes that improving overall outcomes is bad if a single hypothetical poor person might be negatively effected

Kyle Kingsbury is not a journalist. He is not an op-ed writer.

He is a computer safety researcher.

And he has written one of the most compelling, comprehensive accounts of the ongoing hell in Chicago that you could possibly imagine.

In under 1600 words.

A formative part of my mother’s childhood was having to go to the cannery to buy mislabeled items at a discount. This was 1970 in America.
It is genuinely hard for most people to grasp how poor the past was.
