Same here, ten years in/out of India and the Times a good read

More sources than Lloyd Grossman’s selection in this
November 12, 2025 at 8:42 PM
They didn’t brief anything! They answered questions from the journalists who then twisted the answers and context. My sources say rather dishonestly but free to make your own mind up

Andrew Marr cleared it all up for us along the lines of Robert’s post earlier on LBC. Answer to questions asked and not a briefing from No.10
If the Guardian wishes to deny that it should state who the sources are given it impacts International markets (and in turn the general public)
November 12, 2025 at 2:13 PM
And thank you to Andrew Marr for correcting the record on behalf of, cough, journalists on LBC. A question was answered, the answer was twisted.

And today, look at the gilts reaction to the Guardian tittle tattle. Almost as though our media want the country to be paying more interest and having less money to do things. I’m so angry after seeing that twat Peston smirking on the news as the ‘No.10 crisis’ was headlined last night
November 12, 2025 at 9:39 AM
Remember when these being high were a monumental crisis.. gilts dropping relentlessly, expected interest rate cut in December, two child cap cut, waspi women review all out today.. the response from our media! Leadership challenge underway, go figure.
November 11, 2025 at 10:28 PM
And who are the people suffering whilst our media play this game of negativity bullshit every day. The general public who will get hit with higher interest rates, sky rocketing inflation and inevitable cuts in services. For me it’s not an overnight thing that I f**king despise our media
November 11, 2025 at 10:21 PM
Guardian at it as well with Pippa and Jessica running the same story line. He’s not gonna step down and they ain’t gonna vote him out so another non story. Any thoughts that Wes or Andy B would get a a fair deal from our press if it happened is for the fairy’s
November 11, 2025 at 9:53 PM
😂 can’t disagree with a single word of that
November 11, 2025 at 8:20 PM
He’ll make an exception for Brendan when he walks off the plane into the changing room though. Dan has to start next game surely

In other news, the government are getting on with government.
November 11, 2025 at 7:47 PM
That wasn’t btw me supporting either the use of the consultants or the cuts. First question I’d ask if in that council is if the consultant won the work through a tendered process, if not then how did they win it or were they just awarded it on the basis of low value (<5mln) only to become £30mln
November 11, 2025 at 6:03 PM
It won’t help, but every voter should have it explicitly stated to them what they voted for when Reforms consultants cut essential services they rely on. In finance terms there will be little ‘low hanging fruit’ that can be cut that hasn’t been already through Tory austerity.

There is only one way to cut substantial costs and that does not require consultants to do it. Reduce/eliminate services contracted and lay off staff. The consultants are there to ‘tell the story’ and are paid handsomely to be the people to point the finger at.

They’ll be one available that tells there wingers to beat their man, hit the byline and cross it. Look at the goals we’ve conceded, common thread, wingers attacking and putting it into the danger area.
We cannot defend/possession ourselves to safety.
November 10, 2025 at 9:28 AM
It was utterly shite Beren and you look at the team sheet before ko and know it’s only going to be that. We can’t defend, we can’t create, yet setting up to defend and not create seems to be the only plan. Full week to organise the team for that and just nowhere near good enough.
November 9, 2025 at 4:04 PM
Looked better last ten mins but it’s always too little too late. Forest played on Thursday night, start strongest eleven and batter them first thirty mins. Might not break them but it’ll make the legs heavier for the next 60. Zero justification for Brendan starting today
November 9, 2025 at 3:50 PM
Today’s done me as well. There are 10-15 games this that should be marked must win/can win.. Burnley/Forest two of them, even away, and we’ve lined up for a draw. Three defensive mids and still concede piss weak goals.
Beyond poor again today
November 9, 2025 at 3:33 PM
You’d think professional footballers would at least be able to pass the ball. Shocking how many mislaid passes we had that half. I get teams will have better players than us but surely ours can at least make a 10 yard pass to an unchallenged player in the same shirt. Some of that was pub footy
November 9, 2025 at 3:04 PM
Playing 14 men every week aren’t we. I’d say straight off I’m biased but refs and lino’s have given us nothing this season bar the Everton pen that for me was a pen
November 9, 2025 at 2:44 PM
And we have three in midfield I assume to fill the box when defending 🤷‍♂️
