I have such a strong memory of seeing “The Problem We All Live With” and “Southern Justice” in person. They are both HUGE paintings, the humans on them larger than life-size, and just heart-stoppingly powerful.

Did one of the kids do the outline??? Or just the brilliant coloring inside it? (Strong memory of middle kid’s preschool teacher at that age showing me a drawing of “a bug” that was actually recognizable, and also the art guidelines saying he was a year ahead of expected. He’s no van Gogh lol.)

My almost-16yo serves such a similar face. And it is SO ridiculous and omg I’m such a sucker for those not-quite-men serving those goofy faces. This kid, my kid, the GIGANTIC kids at my door on Halloween … 😍😭

I understand that there are a lot of people out there who think they have good intentions and love to take their ideological opponents in good faith because it makes them seem fair and reasonable and I truly cannot overstate how dangerous this is to trans people and how much they should stop

That’s my youngest for sure. As a toddler he wouldn’t slow down until the fever was over 101. The big problem is when he’s Really Sick, because mom saying “something is wrong, just trust me!” works with his pediatrician (who knows him) but not at Urgent Care or ER. Loooong waits for us.

I haven’t been to a concert in at least a decade. 😭 I listed most of my earliest ones. Met my husband at the NiteLite before a Maktub concert at the original Showbox (planned meetup with the mutual friend who invited both of us and others to the concert).
