Mostly on about enviro/climate/sustainability comms. Also politics. I'd rather pursue a world that turns out to be too good to be true than to keep drifting, as we are, towards a world that is too unpleasant to contemplate. #EnvComm | TalkEco.org 🇨🇦🌎
Maybe I should check my anger. Thanks for this Max.
Mark Carney managed to trade a pipeline that will never get built for meaningful progress on industrial carbon pricing and electricity interties — both of which will get more wind and solar built.

Remember when people thought he wasn't good at politics? www.nationalobserver.com/2025/11/27/o...

The Union of B.C. Indian Chiefs (UBCIC) says it’s against the memorandum of understanding that Canada and Alberta Thursday morning.

The MOU explicitly endorses the construction of a massive new bitumen pipeline from Alberta to the B.C. coast.

Thank you Steven Guilbeault for being a principled person and for all that you have done and tried to do for environmental and justice causes. Mark Carney has betrayed Canadians in many ways since taking office. He has lost / abandoned his #climate credibility. #cdnpoli
This afternoon, I informed the Prime Minister of my decision to resign as Minister of Canadian Identity and Culture, Minister responsible for Official Languages, Minister of Nature and Parks Canada, as well as his Lieutenant in Quebec.

You can find my full statement below.

It is now totally clear that Prime Minister Mark Carney (@mark-carney.bsky.social) is just another climate con-man. He conned Canadians into thinking he understood climate change, especially the economics. Clearly he does not understand where the wind is blowing and sun is shining. #cdpoli #climate

Yeah. Bernie is an Independent. The Dems are f-ing MIA alright.
I am not a politician, but I'm surprised that more elected Democrats aren't trying to fill the role of public anti-Trump leadership that is now occupied almost solely by Bernie Sanders. Those big crowds should be telling them something, no?
Drawing huge crowds, Bernie Sanders steps into leadership of the anti-Trump resistance
At 83 years old, Bernie Sanders has emerged as an unlikely leader of the Democratic resistance to Donald Trump.

Nice graphic! Requires knowledge of a key aspect of the #racist history of the USA. Sadly, most Americans don't have a clue.

Should we even bother talking about #climatechange? YES! Research from Potential Energy confirms that the most effective messaging focuses on what people stand to lose because of #climate chaos. More confirmation of the need for compassionate #values in #EnvComm.
Should we even bother talking about climate change?
It’s a question you hear muttered more and more in environmental circles and even more brashly from those focused on clean energy: given the shift in public priorities and the state of politics, shoul...

Yeah, you know things are bad when you realize that you'd rather read about #climate chaos than Trump/Musk chaos.

I’m old enough to remember when our economy was the envy of the world. Manufacturing taking off. Unemployment low. Inflation troubling but lower than elsewhere. We were leaders in global health, foreign aid, scientific research. We had allies. 2 weeks is a long time.

This is pretty damning for her campaign, at least among those of us who want climate crisis action not more petro-pandering from our leaders.
