and yeah I know (as a photographer) that a single frame cannot tell the full story but this will certainly quash any defence of it being accidental. Utterly horrendous

Nice cars but my wife's car bricked by an OTA software update on Friday rendering it unable to move- leaving down our steep drive in a most unedifying manner

no problem - it's my bag! Iceland is there simply because the two tectonic plates are moving apart - there's a ridge runs all the way down the Atlantic and Iceland sits on a hotspot. This diagram illustrates - see how the Reykjanes is basically split in two and hence y so active

aye - go further north and you'll be fine! Google Hverir for this kind of thing ... the skyline is the boundary between the Eurasian and N American plates if that means anything to you?

and saddest place i have ever been - right on the end of the Reykjanes peninsula, statue of a now extinct Great Auk looking out towards the now collapsed stack where the last of its kind was killed by a Danish naturalist ffs

Returned to the Dyfi estuary with the 600mm lens hoping the Gt Northern Diver (Loon) was still there. It's a juvenile. Out of nowhere a Red-throated appeared - cue mayhem! For some reason @birdguides.bsky.social are not uploading my report, apologies all if you missed this bird #birds #ukwildlife

take the dog to Aberdyfi beach for a mad hour, just take the RF 24-70 rather than any bigger lens because there's never any birds there and then this is feeding 15 yds off the beach - so this pic at 70mm on the full frame R5. Aaaargh #birds #ukwildlife
