I watched a YouTube video of Steve Vai talking about his audition for Frank Zappa when he was all of 20 years old.
FZ gave him the sheet music for The Black Page, which is featured in another video headed "Impossible To Play."
He thought he did miserably, but he got the job...

I have very happy memories of this tour, I saw them in San Diego and again at Irvine Meadows when they added some extra shows and extended it. From the classic Bugs Bunny toons that opened the show to the final note of the encore, one of the best staged shows in memory.

My son got me my Xmas present early, since the motherboard on my PS4 is shot. Fortnite bundle pack consistent with Black Friday deals, got it at Game Stop to support the Blackout. As soon as USC/UCLA is done, I'm firing up!

Thanks! What I saw on YouTube was pretty fantastic. Brought me right back...Saw all three of the early 80's tours - the Beat concert I saw in Philly in '82 got released as a CD.
