Turns out almost nobody actually wants "small" government. They want government personalized to their own exact needs. Unfortunately since everyone wants that, I pay for stuff they want and use and I don't use or want and they have to do the same for me.
So I have decided to be normal
about it.

You know how they say there are no atheists in foxholes? I used to work for a government and you know where you don't find small-government detaxing libertarians? In the line to get their passports renewed, which they left to the last minute but we've had cutbacks and it won't arrive in time, sorry.

Anyway if it's the first it's so we can pay people to build roads and fight fires and drive ambulances and run the machines that let us drink the water without dying of dystentry and have kids properly educated and actually now I think of it I really like air traffic control and electrical grids.
