In hindsight after watching Mara more while drawing she appears so much more as a very gentle person to me compared to the yandere/switch i had anticipated and now i almost feel guilty finishing this more extreme scenario instead of the mop with sex toys idea i first started with

I was planning on doing ~30minute sketches with 10 minutes roughly following reference and 20 minutes changing it into another character but to create something worth posting i feel like i need at least 2 hours and i end up depriving myself of sleep so much im not sure how long i can keep this pace

I am still unsatisfied with how much i rely on references and want to take some time to learn to transform them into other characters
Thinking about trying to do 1 sketch per day this july to maybe progress steadily and get out of my current mental block
will probably do more vallure girls soon

i really want to get over my hesitation to post badly drawn fanart
with their new wave vallure talents (old and new) are living rent free in my head again but i am afraid that i can not put my ideas into form that i am confident enough about to post

While i almost like how the drawing turned out in the end it frustrates me that i feel like i can only get decent results when following reference closely which really limits my attempts at doing anime'ish fanarts currently

Someone recommended to me to just "explore" while drawing "nothing in particular" but i will be honest this is probably the hardest thing ive done while drawing
i just have to have an image in mind to work towards or i am paralyzed to even place a single stroke
