¿Por qué? Si el subsidio lo que te genera es una ecuación asegurada, es razonable que las ganancias en un sector subsidiado sean más estables y previsibles -y por lo tanto menores- que en un sector que opera con riesgo empresario y puede dar pérdidas. ¿En qué me equivoco?

No era el sentido. Me cuesta entender el objetivo de lo que hace Maduro, probablemente tiene muy poco que ver con que Venezuela pueda ejercer un derecho sobre esa región. Como pienso y dije sobre Malvinas esta semana, creo que el postureo suele ser mala estrategia, pero levanta adhesiones adentro.

Hola Clara, no es sobre la soberanía, sino conceptual, sobre la actual estrategia del gobierno. Sobre estrategias espantosas para lograr objetivos nacionales legítimos, hechas por Argentinos, hice chistes mil veces. Malvinas incluídas, por supuesto.

Authoritarians and would-be autocrats face a problem: the greater their crimes, the greater their fear of retribution if they lose power. So they have a huge incentive to rig the system to stay in office no matter how badly they screw up. See under: Hungary, Turkey, Israel, and now, the US.

As of last night, the question is whether the opposition acts in unity&set precise demands/priorities to incentivise people to continue going onto the streets despite the increased cost of protesting. Ankara likely works with the assumption that it (opp.) is not.

It is remarkable (compared to other backsliding regimes) how brazen and transparent Trump is in targeting his "enemies." In Turkey, it would take months and an enterprising journalist to uncover that a university had its funds cut off, a firm blacklisted, contracts rescinded, or thousands fired.
