Pointbuy is just the best system and should be standard. The best case scenario is you end up with an 18 in everything and like... that's just boring.

I like it when my character has flaws and is bad at certain things and better at others. Same reason I have an issue with a lot of modern CRPGs

Close to how I feel about it. Growing up in a conservative town as a closeted teenager was rough. I have good memories from back then, but I wasn't myself and the years feel wasted

I'm very drawn to 'high school' as a fictional setting for that reason. Feels like I can have a do-over and be happier

I'm not an authority on it or anything, but my advice would be pretending you know who they are and greet them. "Oh hey! It's been so long, how are you doing?" ect.

Just improv a conversation and give them some kind of out, like inviting them to coffee or something of that nature.

Absolutely build up on other websites, do what you gotta do to secure your sources of income, but don't just lie down

There is no reasonable way to enforce this policy since there's no way to prove 'consent' in a drawing. Complain, make noise, be a problem, it's how stuff like this gets overturned.

The nice lion lady offering her "Free monster training" had a... slightly different definition of the phrase than she expected. Hey, at least the food's free. Even if it's a mostly liquid diet.

Then again, if you do that you run into the 'difficult horror game' problem. It really cuts the immersion and tension if you are just hitting the fail state over and over.

I think there's a balance to be struck that's more skewed towards difficulty rather than easy success.
