All in one day:

Immigration Minister lied about me with a slur.

Wes Streeting then tried a different attack.

And the Evening Standard write yet another attack piece because I dare to say we need to tax the rich.

Hey @theguardian.com, what I'd love for Christmas is a media rising up to the climate, nature & health emergency. Only one of the 16 sandwiches shown is fully plant-based (yet it's well rated for taste & is healthy): you need to do much better in your food sections!

The Green Party reject this toxic and divisive rhetoric and call for an immigration system grounded in humanity and compassion.

The govt must take urgent steps to invest in tackling climate breakdown now, including targeted support for farmers to move to more climate-resilient methods.

Today, Nigel Farage postures as a righteous defender of the same democracy he actively undermines.

Plans to build a new gas burning power station at Peterhead are entirely reliant on Acorn project.

This decision puts that project in even greater doubt.

Ministers must reject Peterhead 2 and instead focus on climate solutions that improve lives - warm homes, decent buses and real green jobs.

The Scottish Gov's new Climate Plan is dangerously over-reliant on carbon capture to make its sums add up.

Ministers have made a huge gamble that carbon capture can make massive emissions cuts in the next decade.

And now the main corporate backer has walked away.

Carbon capture & storage has never delivered on its promises. Anywhere. Ever.

The world's biggest CCS project was recently revealed to capture just 2.66% of the total emissions from extracting, processing and burning gas from the Gorgon fields in Australia.

This decision is a huge embarrassment to both the Scottish and UK Governments.

The Acorn carbon capture project's main backer is pulling out of the scheme.

Politicians have promised over £280million of (supposedly scarce) public money to a technology with a long history of failure.

This ban exists because of tireless movement campaigning, this win belongs to them. It’s a crucial start, but concessions like tiebacks still risk fueling emissions. The govt must back workers, reject Rosebank + all new developments, & act like the climate leader it claims to be
