Clancy’s portrayal of Moscow in CARDINAL was way progressive for the 80s. And let’s not forget he had the balls to say on CNN, on 9/11, that “Islam does not permit suicide.” But I’ve wondered what the last 10 years would’ve done to his brain. Other natsec Republicans like him have since gone insane.
