I thought my dad was talking about a parody when he told me saw a video of a guy riding his bike past 🧊 and taunting them with “I’m not a US citizen!”

And 🧊 proceeds to chase the dude like a group of cartoon characters in a slapstick comedy like…

it’s a real video. This country is embarrassing 🥴

New look for Ainur! And me! I can’t think of a single time I purposely chose neon green for something.

I had to search for a song for her… I think Nox Aeterna by Qntal is a good fit!

#finalfantasyxiv #ff14

A screenshot from the MMO Final Fantasy 14. The screenshot depicts my character Ainur, a female Xaela Au Ra (a humanoid with black scales along her wrists and neck jaws and cheek, as well as her calves with horns on each side of her head where her ears would be) posing with her Astrolgian’s star globe, a device that resembles a Renaissance armillary sphere encircled by floating Tarot cards. I’m showcasing a new outfit (Glamour) I’ve made for Ainur: she has short, feathery white hair, a black cottagecore/1930s style dress with neon green trim, a black beret and neon green rimmed glasses, black fishnets and black derbies with neon green soles. Ainur also is wearing neon green nail polish! Her environment,
Yuweyawata Field Station, is a run-down scientific facility with dim green and red lights, and dirty floors and walls. Another screenshot of Ainur, my Final Fantasy 14 character showing off her neon green and black cottagecore-esque ensemble. This screenshot is of a bust close-up of the previous pose: Ainur has one hand behind her back, and the other hold out her star globe, hovering just above the palm of her hand. Her star globe (Phantom Umbrae Star Globe) is also black and neon green; the other portion consists of black almost wing-like shapes while the center is a glowing, neon green vial. This is a screenshot of the back view of the previous pose. You can see with a little more detail with the hand Ainur is holding behind her back and her nails are painted neon green. You can also see a bit of her tail, which is black and dragon-like in appearance. This last screenshot is a top down view of Ainur. You can see a bit more of her derbies in this view, along with the beret and neon rimmed glasses. You can also see more of her star globe (Phantom Umbrae Star Globe) and the neon “vial” in the center of the black wing-like shapes and floating Tarot cards. The stained floor of the run-down scientific facility (Yuweyawata Field Station) is also visible, giving the image an industrial vibe.

The pages have a smoother texture than I usually like, but they’re also thick and quite hearty so I’m fine with that. I recently did an inventory check on my markers and currently only have two greens, as is clear from my drawing lol!
A photo of my workspace depicting a close-up of a sketch of the side of a blue house with a gate covered in Morning Glories, a tree with yellow flowers framing the right side of the vertical composition. There are only two greens used on the tree and Morning Glory bush, a neon green and olive green.

Life’s been incredibly busy for me, but I still managed some sketches in my new sketchbook. This lavender-colored Talens Art Creation sketchbook caught my eye and I bought it on a whim due to the color alone; I completed two sketchbooks this year, I’m allowed to do that 🥲 #sketchbook
A photo of my sketchbook showing a black and white pen drawing of a vintage 1940s stove top with various kitchen utensils stacked on top of it, two frying pans hang on the wall above. A photo of my sketchbook showing a drawing of a sepia toned pen drawing of an outdoor scene: a wicker a chair and a small, round glass table sit beneath the shade of fig tree. A photo of my sketchbook showing a drawing of a black and white drawing of an old axe resting against the trunk of a lemon tree.

Thank you! Have you played around with the new Procreate brushes yet?

A knightly sketch from my new sketchbook! I’m thinking about taking this one and using it as a test run drawing with Procreate’s latest update to familiarize myself with the newest brushes! #sketchbook
A photo of my lavender-colored sketchbook open to a bust sketch of a feminine knight wearing an armet helmet adorned with a single large rose. Long hair falls in gentle waves beneath the rim of the helmet, and she wears a dress with pauldrons on her shoulders. There is a broken-lined oval encompassing the sketch.

Yeah. I haven‘t had a lot of time for the Internet lately (or much else) and I’m still slowly recovering for this recent most tendinitis flare up. I have been drawing, I just have to make time to upload them!

I’m also in the process of moving and some big life changes so this has been extra stress. I thought I lost one of my favorite pair of lounge pants, but it turns out they were in my dresser the entire time 🫠 the legs were pulled inward so I thought they were shorts. This is where my brain has been.

I did a trade-in with my old iPhone (which had a physical SIM) so I couldn’t use the phone part of my phone. At this point I was like, whatever, just give me a new phone number. Which has also been annoying, mostly because I can no longer have an 818 area code as they don’t give those out anymore.
mattievictoria.bsky.social
At that point I realized I should just switch wireless carriers. Because nothing about this has been easy, my previous wireless service wouldn’t give accept my request to unlock my phone number.
mattievictoria.bsky.social
Realized I didn’t give an update on my Phone Saga: Sent back broken iPhone (that I paid to ship myself), got refund, got a brand new iPhone with a functioning eSim. However, I STILL HAD ESIM PROBLEMS bc my wireless plan was something that had been ”grandfathered in” and getting an eSim was annoying

This game brings me so much joy 🍄
A screenshot from the video game Cozy Grove 2. The screenshot depicts my character wearing a cute orange dress, long red hair and a big red mushroom hat petting Snugula the snail, who has a similarly red mushroom on their shell.

I haven’t really used any of my old brushes, but I know there’s a new file type as well. No problem, I’m not savvy enough about brush technology lol, but I thought I’d share!
mattievictoria.bsky.social
—and telling me to delete my old brush file. I haven’t gone in to see the difference yet, but I need to read more about it. Have you heard anything?

I’m always looking for more brushes, thank you Alix! An interesting thing that I haven’t explored yet is that my old brushes that I purchased or downloaded might not all be compatible with the new version of Procreate. I got an email from a brush pack I purchased sending me a new file—
