And what’s a December vote for (besides fail or get vetoed)? Open enrollment is now! We have to pick ACA plans by Dec 15 and commit to a premium. It’s not like insurers are going to lower prices *after* the fact.

Beyond the harm that it will to constituents once Republicans inevitably renege, backing down now does so much damage to the Democrats on the best week for their brand since 2020. Such loser behavior.
