The magnetic field has gained structure resembling a clean flux rope and magnetic cloud. However, solar wind speed, density, and temperature are still very messy. Not sure how to interpret this.

We are just in the sheathe, the region between the leading shock and main body, of this coronal mass ejection (CME). On top of that, the shock from the 2nd CME is very possibly passing through the 1st one. We may see a turbulent magnetic field for some time before a clear structure appears.

Looks to me that both of these filaments have hit Earth. DSCOVR data shows clear CME and flux rope signatures starting yesterday, but there is a sudden polarity flip a few hours ago.
