Absurd student complaints aren’t new. I am quite confident they predate higher educational as we know it, and this isn’t that unusual.

What’s concerning here imo are the use of:
1. Admin’s reaction
2. Political pressure from state officials
3. Doxxing and the court of public opinion

If your first reaction to a trans grad student getting fired and doxxed for failing a bad paper is to attack the student's competence you might have some transmisogynistic biases you need to reflect on
