When they turn water off in my apartment complex, they do it from 8am to 4pm - every time I plan to do home office, of course 🙈
So I know the struggle!

Last time something like this happened to me, I had a really stupid spelling mistake in the Wi-Fi SSID...

Sometimes, you need to take a step back and double check some things that couldnt possibly be the issue 😅

(Regarding IP, try nmap to see IPs on your network before + after the Pi is turned on)

I have found great satisfaction in my current level of English proficiency, particularly given the significant time and effort it took to attain. The present challenge is to develop competence in academic English.

This month in the Hackerlab will be OSINT month, with OSINT 101 workshop, presentations by the students about some Bellingcat cases and at the end of the month we plan to participate in a Halloween OSINT CTF.
I am excited!

😂
Seriously though, if you are feeling you are stuck, what I do is write bullet points first or an intentional first draft. To get something on the page first. Once it's there, editing it feels less of a barrier.

Good Luck!

Totally agree! In fact, can we normalize this in every field/life situation?
I feel this is a general problem, sad to see some people think they don't have to learn or shouldn't learn more.

So many people came to the first hacker lab meeting, we didn't have space for everyone! I didn't count, but it must have been around ~30 for sure. I expected like 10 or something.
Really nice to see the interest!

Get well soon!

I hear this a lot! There is this saying that a PhD is a group project but with your past self. So I am trying my best to make good notes and document my code. But I already know at the end of the 3 years I will still wonder what past me did...

No worries. It is a very niche/specific topic, like most PhDs.

But I think the parallel of work and study makes it harder for sure! Though I guess it also depends on the system, where you study.

It is set to be this long, so many before me managed, so I hope me as well.
My general topic is cyber defense deception, I knew that and that I want to combine it with data analysis. But my framework idea was more implementation rather than research. Now I will try automating analysis with math + AI

That is true. Now that I am doing my PhD I also have a lot more freedom i what to learn!
