The third volume (Tuck) concludes Rhi Bran's tale mostly from the view of poor Friar Tuck. It has all the high drama of an epic ode as the story draws to its end.

The 2nd book (Scarlet) is mostly from the pov of Will Scarlet, an English forester driven from his land by the Normans. Scarlet travels to Wales following the trail of King Raven. His different voice provides a fresh outsider's take on Bran's band of archers, while still feeling authentic.

I just finished the King Raven trilogy (Hood, Scarlet, Tuck)
by Stephen Lawhead

Loved it!

This reimagining of Robin Hood enraptured me from the start! It's set in Wales a century earlier than the usual Sherwood Forest tale, and the primal Welsh greenwood lends a sense of authentic history. 1/
