Can't call it pretty, but that sure as hell is attached, and that's an improvement over what was there. Only stabbed myself several times making it happen.
The corner of my olive canvas purse, with a very crudely stitched down rectangle of green leather holding a swivel clasp for attaching the strap to. Seriously, this is an utter bodge job, but the thing is attached. I even managed to sew it over where that corner was straight up wearing out.

I only ever see my odometer when I'm getting fuel, because I prefer to have the trip odometer up in daily use. So I miss most of the satisfying numbers. Didn't tonight though.

Picked up some CDs while I was out.
Three CD albums sitting on my knees at my desk: a compilation of collaborations by Bert Jansch and John Renbourn, a collaborative album by John Renbourn and Robin Williamson, and the original cast recording of Cabaret. The Renbourn albums have price stickers from Rasputin's, and the Cabaret has one from Half Price Books.

Well this adds some interesting implications to the kinesthetic pleasure I get from flicking open my box cutter...
The box cutter mentioned in the post, a metal one which folds in half, from harbor freight, source of the finest in tools it doesn't really matter if you break them. It is, under California law, Not A Switchblade, because it has a positive lock to keep the blade closed and no opening spring. However, if you hold it right and flick it just so, it opens one-handed just about as fast. It's very satisfying to do that.

Oh yes. That's the good stuff.

A red Toyota MR2, with a 5-cylinder 1930s radial aircraft engine somehow dropped in the engine bay instead of the usual Toyota engine. This was, of course, a project for 24 Hours of Lemons, and it actually turned racing laps, until the ridiculous torque delivery of the 540 cubic inch radial engine shattered the rest of the drivetrain.

Big fan of the thing where a punk band that's been doing the thing for more than thirty years decides to have a go at playing with some trained musicians. Always a bit magical when that happens.
The New Model Army Sinfonia boxed set, in which a punk band that's been going since 1980 teams up with the Leipzig symphony orchestra and makes mind -blowing music together.
