Today I've explored music from County Donegal, Florida, London, Houston, Chicago, Brooklyn, back to London and now I'm taking a trip to San Francisco to shake it with Garcia. Later on I'll jet over to Belo Horizonte to check out Lô Borges. I'm enjoying #5debutalbums7074.

#5debutalbums7074 A critic said of Kristofferson, "He's the worst singer I've ever heard. It's not that he's off key - he has no relation to key. He also has no phrasing, no dynamics, no energy, no authority, no dramatic ability, & no control of the top 2/3rds of his 6-note range." Ouch.

Looked through the records for #5DebutAlbums8084 and came up with this comical mix. I have Boy and Murmur on cassette and From Her to Eternity, She’s So UnusuAl, and Violent Femmes on CD. I might find a few others but the early 80s are not my bag. Suggestions are welcome!

I dug out 36 records for #5albums50s60sFINAL and have another 30 CDs. Started with Sly’s Stand! and moved on to Love. I think both are out, but Sly wins in this matchup. I like Love, but I love Sly!

I'd really like to be able to spare some points for Terry Riley's mesmerizing In C. I know it would be like throwing them away, but it might just be worth it to me. Give it a try if you have some time during your #5albums50s60s2 exploration.

I listened to these (+ Hancock's excellent Maiden Voyage) last night. I enjoyed all of them, but Dusty and Dave are the only ones that will advance for further consideration in my #5albums50s60s2.

After listening to about 30 jazz albums for #5albums50s60s1 I think I've narrowed it down to these 4. Monk's Music, Getz / Gilberto, and Oliver Nelson all ranked high, but these had just a little extra heat on them. If you intend to vote for jazz, which ones are you considering.

This is the 95th album for me from #5albums50s60s1 and I have to say that I'm very pleasantly surprised. Totally new to me and I enjoyed it very much. I don't think I've seen much chat about it, but I thought it was worth a mention.
