My sweet Swizzle. My shadow. My black dog. She crossed the rainbow bridge last week while I was out of town for my Nan’s funeral. I think she knew holding her while she took her final breath would break me. So instead she passed away peacefully in my husband’s lap as I sobbed via facetime.
