The new National Security Strategy is a propaganda document, designed to be widely read. It is also a performative suicide. Hard to think of another great power ever abdicating its influence so quickly and so publicly. It will be worth following the reactions around the world, not just in Europe.

I now understand why my European friends call me a 'cold war kid' because my first thought was: Could end up being the spark of a variation on the Cuban Missile crisis and is that why they're tearing up the White House to build a bigger better bunker?

Are people getting into trouble for disseminating this man's beliefs? I remember the now VP saying something about Haitian eating people's pets, so I'm unclear why dissemination of words by elites currently in power would get anyone into trouble.
