Absolutely everyone deserves equal rights. Yes, even people who did ~that~ (for whatever value of "that" you feel should mean an exemption). The minute we move anyone out of the category of deserving rights, we make it worth bad actors trying to brand some people as being in that out-group.

BTW Orlando is a wonderful read. A lot of literary fiction can be hard work, even if it is good for your puzzle-box! Virginia Woolf’s books are page-turners & the atmosphere & stories lead you on. You can read to enjoy & ignore reading to improve! 😉 Use your library card!
