Sometimes a change is as good as a rest - so every now and again I take a day off from commissions to work on something different! Yesterday I started this gorgeous lionfish - taken at Sealife with some amazing blue and purple backlighting. This will be an exhibition piece for next year!

SOLD! I got the wonderful news today that my painting of a horses eye study has been sold at the Association of Animal Artists Autumn Exhibition at The Station! This is the first time I have sold at an exhibition and the first time I have ever exhibited an oil painting which is really exciting!

More work on lovely Nell! This portrait has been quite a challenge as in the reference photo she is sat next to a bright blue light so I am combining several other references to get the right colours!

The Association of Animal Artists Autumn Exhibition is underway with some fantastic sales already! There are well over 100 amazing artworks to see - and all sales help raise funds for this year’s chosen charity Wild Welfare! The exhibition is at The Station until 21st October - well worth a visit!

I have been away for the last couple of days hanging the Association of Animal Artists Autumn Exhibition and hosting the preview night! It has been a wonderful (if tiring!) two days but I have loved seeing all the amazing artworks and artists - I’m so proud of this association and being a member ❤️

I am so very proud to announce that my painting ‘Fire in his Eyes’ has been selected for the final 100 in this year’s #sketchforsurvival by Explorers Against Extinction!

The final 100 will be on display at Nature in Art, Gloucestershire 21 Oct - 16 Nov and the Oxo Gallery, London from 19–23 Nov!
