AuDHD Chronically Ill
@megcastiel.bsky.social
Late diagnosed AuDHD with multiple chronic illnesses. I will likely say something that's not quite right, so please be patient with me. My brain goes faster than my mouth does, and I don't get all the words right every time.

Don't ask for my real name.
Precisely. The first add I saw of his was this one below. He's so proud of it that it's only available on social media applications you have to sign up for. I had to do a screen recording.

He is completely ignoring the inherent racism of the commenter and telling us "be kind to racists." 1/2

I could not find anywhere that allowed this video to be shared/watched without making an account, so I recorded it on my screen.

Way before the tattoo became an issue, this is Platner's idea of an appealing ad. Some of you may see nothing wrong with it. It's HUGELY problematic, though. ⬇️

Fun story about his pathetic smallness - my son and I were talking about how funny it is that a powerful, evil creature is defeated by bullying in the remakes of "It."

We came to the conclusion that Pennywise must have been inspired by Trump, orange hair and all. Timeline fits. 🤡

And, just a heads up, that media bias chart uses a major logical fallacy called "Argument to Moderation." The creator is essentially asserting that any news organization with a centrist bias is somehow more fact based. She ignores that being centrist IS a bias.

While it's tempting to make fun of this news, I don't think people understand just how nefarious this is.

They KNOW there's no centralized, organized group. Antifa is a movement. That means Trump can claim it's an underground terrorist org. You do something he doesn't like, now you're Antifa.

Not everyone who says they're a socialist actually is, like the person below.

Some are bots.
Some are trolls.
Many, however, only understand socialism through a capitalist filter, like this poor man.

Happy Labor Day!! Below is one of my favorite political cartoons from the early labor movement. It's from the Pullman Car strike of 1984 and features a representation of the Pullman Palace Car Company as a wealthy man pressing a worker between two grinding stones labeled "low wages" and "high rent."

There are varying degrees of evil. The Democrats have compromised away women's rights, Trans rights, workers' rights, and disability rights.

If you are going to try to tell me that compromising away the rights of ANY person is NOT evil, I really don't want to know you.

People are listening to studies that aren't even done well, and they have no clue.

On occasion, scientists draw conclusions that should be questioned.

I'm not saying that aluminum isn't toxic, but I AM suggesting that some of Dr. Exley's other conclusions were less than professional.

Not everything in our lives has a compromise or middle ground. We can experience life in different ways and see from different perspectives, but facts don't have a middle ground.

We really need to remember that we all contribute in different ways to society, which means that we will contribute to movements in different ways.

If someone can't march, they can do other things. Simply refusing to give in to the hate is resistance.

FYI, if you've never dug into the definition fully on the UN website, it's pretty intense.

This is just the surface in the screenshot.

That person has some serious issues. He's just selectively ignoring parts of the definition of genocide by the UN in order to justify hate.

Resorting to anti-intellectualism is yet another form of covert bullying. This is a tactic frequently used by those who are insecure about their lack of education. They are well aware that those with degrees engage in more than intellectual theorizing. They simply don't care.

I have tried various types of fans to help with cooling off spaces in the absence of AC or to aid spaces with insufficient AC, but the hassock fan has easily been the most efficient and effective. So why aren't they produced anymore? Seriously! I want one!

Among the many reasons I'm not dating following my divorce.

I've seen this attitude from both men and women. If you're single with kids, you're no longer a person. You're "baggage" or "someone else's mess."

Not to mention the use of "female" in his little edit.

I am really not good at character limits. Maybe unleashing an AuDHD flibbertigibbet with a penchant for collecting random bits of information onto social media platforms wasn't a good idea. 🤣

And because you probably don't hear "flibbertigibbet" on the daily

He's the only man since technicolor was invented.

I'd trust Clark Gable with my kids if he wasn't long dead and buried.

I've been thinking about this attitude quite a bit lately in the post below by @worldwatcher.bsky.social. The idea is that a self-proclaimed fascist is simply seeking attention and consequences, such as losing a job, provide this attention. But attention isn't always what maintains behaviors. 1/3

Random fact: eating peas with a knife was common enough that a special "Safety Pea Knife" was designed. It's very bougie.

And now for something completely different: today, I safely packed up my mom's veil and cake topper for storage. They're from the 1970s. I wanted to preserve them for my family, especially her veil.

All contributions are welcome. In fact, I will add my current weirdo hiding amongst the pillows and my first dog that I adopted as an ESA, who would tuck himself in under the covers. They overlapped a little as my current one was supposed to be a foster but stayed.

Men - if you use the sentence "All it takes is one accusation," what I hear is,"I've 🍇ed someone but believe I'm owed sex."

Women have our lives destroyed when we are the victims, while men are protected from consequences STILL.
