Been thinking about this soooo much. Was told I write in a 'literary style', which apparently some journals take exception to. Thinking I don't want to be in a journal that values Being Very Clever over sharing and enjoying knowledge.

It's a tough one, balancing values with pragmatism, hey. Sometimes we have to suck up some data shmata, but hold true to what you know is the good stuff. Not everyone will get it. That doesn't mean you're wrong.

I think showing people what resistance can look like in the ordinary can make it feel less shame-laden. Who have I stood up for today? Who have I extended compassion to today? What have I not let go unsaid today?
