Not always - in this case the person who has stood up (Mamdani) now has quite a lot of power and status. (All earned). I’m not trying to be a reply-woman but need to say this as standing up to a bully when you don’t have power can be catastrophic and isn’t advisable

While the data indicates deaths from acute Covid are now (due to vaccines) about 2x those from flu (which I guess you could call reasonably low?), deaths (and morbidity) from post Covid are unreasonably high. See link libguides.mskcc.org/CovidImpacts...
