In a paper we just published we found that nickel #hyperaccumulation may have a role in drought tolerance. Now, a paper authored by a team led by the amazing Cristina Gonelli has found that nickel improves the stomatal opening in serpentine populations of the non-hyperaccumulator #Silene_paradoxa.
