Nice couple Thanksgiving days for us in Burlington, VT. Beautiful country. Lake Champlain with Adirondacks in distance on left, Winooski River Valley looking at Green Mountains on right.

We get two falls in southern New England. Maples and hickories go first, then the oaks well into November. This scarlet is past peak but still a sight against autumn blue.

Nice chilly walk with our youngest yesterday. RI doesn’t have a lot of swamp white oaks but there’s good ground for them here. She was as interested to learn that as you are, Bluesky.

Can’t believe that’s hard to see. Here’s the offshore wind staging ground in New Bedford, MA. Just bananas amount of jobs and investment. Has completely revived a stagnant former factory town. Abortion is a huge economic issue too.

Great walk in Providence with our oldest today. Probably the last here before winter. Walk it all the time, 100+ miles a year. Love it, an endless stream-of-conscious memory flow with her here, and deeply roiled knowing it’s somewhere on the to-be-invaded list. I fking hate these people.
