This is a Trump shakedown of the NHS, and it cannot go ahead. Patients stuck on crammed hospital corridors, or unable to get an ambulance, won’t forget it.

The British people didn’t vote for this. The government must put this agreement to a vote in Parliament.

This makes me so sad and a little bit angry. Just go to the restaurant! Unless you are poorly, just go! the food will be better, fresher and it will actually be cheaper! And you'll get the lovely experience of being out with people waiting on you, which is a treat!
In the Wonder Reader, Rafaela Jinich explores how food delivery became both a marvel of modern life and a warning about what we lose to our growing appetite for convenience.
How Delivery Ate the Restaurant
Delivery apps are feeding our craving for convenience.

What do we think - did Nick Robinson challenge Badenoch on the lack of a state to carry out a punishment only given for sedition against the Roman empire?
Or did he just nod thoughtfully, as if hers was a new, somehow reasonable theory?

Rachel Reeves says this Labour Governments decisions are "necessary."

Why is it always necessary to hit the living standards of the 99%?

When are we going to make the necessary decisions about extreme wealth?

I guess, in true Tory style, we lacked friends in high places. Britain is such a shitshow - and the liar Michael Gove is the very worst of it.
In 2021 Good Law Project went for an Orwell Prize for uncovering the Covid PPE VIP lane - an issue which helped bring down the last Government. We didn't even get shortlisted - one of the judges was a Director General under the last Government working on... the Covid response. 😂
I’m a past winner of the Orwell Prize & won partly because I exposed Vote Leave’s unlawful activities.

Michael Gove was its co-convener & refused to answer a single q. He’s now a judge of the prize & our world is truly one that Orwell would recognise

Yep, I listened to the recording, too. And surprised when a Trump supporting old friend told me Trump probably did nothing wrong and NO he hadn't listened to the call. Or watched J6 hearings.

Lib Dem leader Edward Davey calls for a national investigation into Russian political interference in British politics:

"Given Reform won't, he must. So will he know launch a national investigation into Russian infiltration into our politics?"

Starmer: "Reform is riddled with pro-Putin propaganda"

Trump, Musk, and the GOP killed hundreds of thousands of kids around the world.

That should be a major story and talking point.

They cut USAID to "save" from "waste," but gave 40 billion to Argentina and threw a Great Gatsby party and let Kash Patel burn our money for his honeypot GF.

If you’re a journalist who’s still on Twitter, from now on in your writing you have to replace “the American people want” with “troll bots in Eastern Europe demand”

Being there makes your judgment suspect. I don’t care how savvy you think you are, you’re marinating in a disinformation campaign.

The press is for Trump. Yes maybe the billionaire owners benefit from tax cuts. But all the journalists are hastening the demise of their own profession for... what? A few more years in the game then turning into state propagandists?
NYT isn’t worth reading because they are in the bag for Trump

Crikey Moses. Bluesky is basically watching Americans suffer the daily misery of having a buffoonish mob boss with dementia, and associated wackadoodle cronies, tear up everything good about their country, while ripping the mask off everything bad by embracing it with his full chest.

This is really horrible. But unfortunately not a surprise. Several academics have been for YEARS warning of exactly this kind of behaviour, should trump return to the presidency.
Good. Dems not backing down in the slightest in the face of Trump's call for their execution. Keep this up, Dems. Treat Trump like *he's* the violent criminal and the real threat to our Constitution order. Because he is.

Most of us have no idea how bad it is inside ICE detention centers because they have kept it hidden. Then a truth teller shows up and says it plain.

The conditions are filthy. The treatment is inhumane. The abuse is Systematic and routine.

People didn't vote for this. Reform was available as option for people who want to target the disabled and refugees - would have won more than 5 seats if this was what voters wanted.
A Government of cowards.

Rather than tackle inequality - they've gone for pensioners, disabled people and now it's people fleeing war and persecution.

They can't get away with this.

The fact that the recent protests are all over dodgy YouTube accounts and everyone is carrying merch was a giveaway that they're bogus, like the Tommy Robinson -organised marches in UK.

Real, organic protests aren't tidily branded!

@govpritzker.illinois.gov I want you to watch this video of me slammed to the ground- why are you allowing this to happen to people you know are on the right side of history. They tied my hands behind my back and when I asked them to be loosened because I was going numb they said, “STFU.”
at one point, i watched a cook county sheriff’s officer (who appears to be in charge) point out a priest in the crowd.

he and a couple officers then went into the crowd , dragged him into the street, and arrested him.

situation is still tense as crowd jostles with police to get into the street.
