Ok nerds, please help! I have a 30 ft USB A run. Bought an active cable but wired it in the wrong direction. Can it be fixed without opening up my walls again?

Do you know about Mac "Proxy Icons?" While working with a document in an app, move your pointer to the file name. The icon that then appears to the left can be dragged to a Finder window to move the file while it is open. Or, drag it to an icon in the Dock to open it in a different app.
