This will be a big deal for accessible transportation in the Twin Cities!

I have been advocating to bring more wheelchair-accessible, on-demand transit options to the Twin Cities for a long time. In two short weeks, it will become reality!

Well, that’s the season folks! The Pohlads‘ have given up on their own team. JUST SALE THE TEAM ALREADY! We want ownership who actually want to win. The Twins have shown us through the years that they aren’t serious about winning the World Series!

This Saturday marks the 35th anniversary of the signing of the A.D.A.!

The A.D.A. protects the rights of individuals with disabilities in many areas of public life, including access to buildings, stadiums, colleges, transportation, and employment, as well as maneuvering along outdoors!

The City of Minneapolis has proclaimed July as Disability Pride Month, honoring the 35th anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act, which occurs on July 26!

This sidewalk hunter is finally getting a new, flat walkway outside his house after about 32 years of going over bumps! Gonna be a smooth ride! #accessibility

HERE WE GO! If McMahon and Musk won’t do the right thing, we will fight back and that fight has begun in a big way! Everyone deserves the right to an education. If we felt like that the threat of eliminating Section 504 was over, we must rethink that now!

What a great couple of weeks of power soccer it has been in the Twin Cities! My team, the Minnesota Northern Lights, partook in 5 games over last and this Saturday, and the results were just as I expected. I was mostly goaltending and made a few nifty saves!

Individuals with disabilities can be excellent employees, even if they need specific accommodations to do their job. All Republicans should condemn these statements from their leader and promote employment opportunities for people with disabilities, but will they, probably not!

On June 24, 2021, I founded the Minneapolis Sidewalk Repair Hunters, a community-led effort to locate and report inaccessible sidewalks and curb cuts—like sidewalk heaves—to the City of Minneapolis. If you are interested in this project, we do have a Facebook page and a website (www.mplssrh.org).

Hi all,
It is nice being over here. Just making the transition from X. A bit about me: I’m a big disability advocate, current member of the Minneapolis Advisory Committee On People with Disabilities, and fan of Minnesota sports. If you have a disability issue to discuss, hit me up!
Thanks!
