After regularly being asked 'what is scrying?' and the upcoming return of scrying season in my stream (winter + early spring), I finally wrote a post about my experience with it.

Today's column is about the government's huge, unprecedented assault on nature ... and about the eerie, astonishing silence of the big nature groups. The RSPB, National Trust, Wildlife Trusts have 7.5m members between them. A vast force, completely unmobilised. 🧵

The Cornish chough vanished in 1973.

Gone from the cliffs. Gone from the skies.

Then in 2001 – 3 returned.

Now in 2025? 300+ wild choughs call Cornwall home again.

A local legend reborn. A real-world comeback. 🐦🔥

I saw this last week and some of the statistics are horrifying. The impact of trawling is devastating and hard to believe these practices are legal...but they are...
The shocking, violent reality of what bottom trawling does to the seabed and its creatures is filmed and shown for the first time in Ocean with David Attenborough. And then, after all that, three quarters of the catch is thrown away.

This is must-watch footage.
