Last Friday, MDOS representatives attended the 2025 Student Voting Summit at Macomb Community College, hosted by Fair Elections Center’s Campus Vote Project.

Attorney General Dana Nessel warns Michigan residents about increased reports of scam text messages claiming to come from the "State of Michigan Department of Vehicles," which does not exist.

Quote from AG Nessel:
“These messages are scams. Michigan does not have a Department of Vehicles, and the Secretary of State does not send text messages threatening to suspend your license or registration. If you receive a text message like this, delete it, and do not click on any links.”
