I have written to David Lammy to demand urgent action.

Some truths I've learned about western government:
• External enemies are useful - distracting from failure at home
• War makes people rich
• Perpetual war makes people very rich & ensures point 1
• Western government, of all stripes, follow these principles
• This way of thinking will destroy us

The two Israelis killed today were killed when their bulldozer hit an unexploded bomb, which had been dropped by Israel.

The only side that killed, 44 people today, was Israel.

Had the government said "as a mark of respect, we'd like you to cancel football matches, concerts etc AND protests today", then fair enough. But to single out the protest they've long wanted to stop anyway as the one thing we should not do looks like disgraceful exploitation of a horrific attack.

‼️ The risky taxpayer-financed deal, which involves trading US dollars for Argentine pesos, has little upside for ordinary Americans.

‼️ It has massive economic benefits for one American: billionaire hedge fund manager Rob Citrone, who has placed large bets on the future of the Argentine economy 👇
1. The $20 billion taxpayer-funded rescue package for Argentina, announced last week by the Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent, delivers an enormous windfall to hedge fund billionaire Rob Citrone.

Citrone has a longstanding personal and professional relationship with Bessent.

This is a critical piece of our political and regular lives now. Republicans are doing everything possible to keep us trapped in the dirty, overpriced, dead end world of fossil fuels because the industry pays them to do so. In so doing they keep us from thriving in the 21st Century.
It’s hard to get someone to understand something when their salary depends on NOT understanding it.

Well, the Republican Party depends on fossil fuel money.

Farage lied to get Brexit through, that stopped the Dublin agreement and kick started the small boat operations. Now he says leaving ECHR will stop the boats he started, he wants ECHR gone for his own benefit.
They said Brexit was taking back control, now they say leaving the ECHR is taking back control

How about we really take back control, of the Energy, of the Water, of the Public Transport, of the Housing, of the Banks

They would be terrified of that, actually taking back control

It’s only a matter of time before the courts decide there has been overreach by the government and throw this pathetic ban out.

The Home secretary and PM should ashamed of themselves.

And all this as those they seek to protect perpetrate a genocide in plain sight against said Palestinians

UK govt is wrong on the cost of bringing England's water back into public ownership.

Its £100bn number has no economic/legal basis.

The cost of public ownership is "closer to zero".

Companies are bankrupt, their shareholders and lenders have already extracted billions.
