Q: What was RFK Jr's reaction when you raised the need to consult scientific evidence?
Former CDC Director: He stated there was no scientific evidence associated with vaccines. He called CDC the most corrupt agency in the world. He said that CDC employees were horrible people, were killing children

A central underpinning of conservatism is the willingness to break something to prove it’s broken; the CDC, FEMA, public ed, higher ed, organized labor, hell, the entirety of the electoral process!
They don’t care who it hurts. They don’t care that it’s regressive. It’s f*cked up & intentional.

For the second time in his first two seasons as the Brewers manager, Pat Murphy wins NL Manager of the Year. He's only the third back-to-back winner of the award since the BBWAA began awarding it in 1983, joining Bobby Cox and Kevin Cash.

If Biden had called into a sports talk show they’d never shut up about how’s he not working or focused. This is ridiculous.

“We love to travel!”
A sentence Steven, Mark, & I will say to you with the full force of our hearts & souls.
When I say it, I’m likely imagining Pittsburgh, or Little Rock, or Albuquerque.
When Mark says it, he means Belgium, or Paris, or a Caribbean isle.
When Steven says it, he means New York.

There's been a lot of pearl-clutching about public grocery stores!
Which is wild, because we have a LOT of experience with public grocery stores in the US. And the folks it serves (US military & military families) stand by it.

Even though we’re using the phrase more frequently in a political context, “every accusation is a confession” also applies to c-suite folks talking about unskilled labor — maybe most of all.
it's not that i ever doubted that being a barista was a skilled position, but my year-long effort to try to produce a half-decent latte at home has convinced me that a good barista is easily more skilled than virtually every c-suite executive on the planet

Good government matters, example ♾️
In the century leading up to 1975, nearly 6000 freighters went down in the Great Lakes.
The Edmund Fitzgerald was the last.
The last. In 50 years, not a single commercial freighter has been lost in the Great Lakes.
Why?
It's NOAA. Of course it's NOAA.

This is actually good spin, or would have been. But the fact that the Democratic cave happened without even a coordinated, agreed-upon message like this indicates the depth of the leadership void.

fwiw, imo: The absence of a very obvious and/or perfect replacement for Schumer keeps anti-Schumer fervor a bit tamped down versus what I think it could be. Mark & I were talking about this. If you asked folks “okay, blank piece of paper, who do write down for leader?” there’d be multiple answers.

It ain’t lost on me that this is happening at a time when alcohol — as a product, a social entity, a lobby, etc. — is at its weakest point in decades. It feels a bit like the death rattle of a once-powerful influence across culture & politics, with ire directed at a vice on the opposite trajectory.
But like actually where did the political will to take the hemp industry out back and shoot it come from
