By day a Father, Husband, Software Developer. By night, pretty much the same things but probably lazier.
A set of #dice I finished today. Originally they were a test pour from a new mould but found a home with a player from my #dnd group who's going to gift them in a secret Santa so I made a matching chunky #d20 to go with the set.

Been a while since I posted some #dice I've been working on. These two sets are for a friend who's description of what they were after was “Purple marble with gold glitter” I gave them two options and they were keen to take both.

Been a while since I posted any #dice I've been doing (got a bunch I need to finish). Testing a new mould I made I did test pour of clear with a sparkle ✨️. Gave this set to a friend who suggested inking then red and I'm glad he did because it really pops and looks fantastic.

Made an attempt at some mica drop #dice, it all sank to the bottom face. Either poured them to early or put too much mica in. They're pretty, just not what I was going for.

One day I'll learn to proof read messages when using a swipe keyboard, but apparently today is not that day.

The finished version of the WIP #dice I posted earlier in the week. Very badly with how they came out, loving how the gold numbers pops against the purple.

It's taken a lot of trial and error but I'm so stoked to finally have my first full set of #dice from a mould I made from a set of masters I printed. A couple of small spots of cure inhibition, thankfully they were on faces I likely would've likely sanded anyway.

To celebrate the Matariki long weekend I cleaned up & rearranged the office. It has become a dumpung ground & I wanted a place to make dice that wasn't the dining table. So I moved the shelves, added a bigger bookcase, & got a workbench. Here are the before and after shots.

Before I left Flux I made a bunch of #ttrpg #dice sets to give away to folks. Unfortunately I forgot to take pictures of the finished dice, so I'm going to share the WIP shots in this thread. Had a lot of fun with them and loved how they turned out. First up is the red & purple with gold flakes set.

This feels like a bit of milestone - this chonky die is made from a mould I created based on a master I printed. It's not perfect by any means & there's a big of cure inhibition around some of the numbers but all in all I'm really happy about the outcome of my first attempt. #resin #dice #d20

Kids are asleep, wife is watching tv, time to watch some @criticalrole.bsky.social and ink some #dice.

My first attempt at making a silicone dice mould is done. It's looking like it came out okay but won't be sure until I cast my first set of dice in it.

This morning I'm having my first go at making a #dice mould. Excited to see how it turns out, I'm using the squishlite frame from @critmaker.bsky.social.

My adventures in #resin #dice making continues. Pics of my favorites so far, hoping to use the blue dice in the first pic to try creating a mould. The others are excitements with dirty pours, the florescent green on the last set ended up being a lot more clear than expected.

The next step in my #resin #dice making adventures turned up today, a whole heck of a lot of alcohol inks. Now I can start making things in all the pretty colours.

Cast my first set of #dice this weekend. They were meant to be blue but I added a bit too much dye. First photo was when I had just taken them out of the mold, the second was after it had been sanded, polished, and painted.

Converted a spray paint tank into a pressure pot for casting #resin. Currently casting my first set of #ttrpg #dice. Not sure what it says about me that most of my hobbies seem to be exercises in patience.

Starting the kids' D&D sessions back up shortly now they are back at school. Given the new 3d printer, I thought I'd try printing some minis for the monsters they're likely to encounter in the first session back. I got the models from www.patreon.com/posts/d-d-st... #dnd #3dprinting

First print done and dusted, a cute little charmander. It turned out amazing. I love that unless you go looking for it you can't see the print lines. #3dprinting #resin

Some new toys turned up yesterday, a Creality Halo R6 and a washing and cutting station. Not sure what I'm going to print first. #3dprinting #resin

I'm digging the 60's retro-futuristic sci-fi aesthetic for the Fantastic Four trailer, I am apprehensive about Galactus being in the film, I would've thought that's a character you build up to.

There was a part of my that was gutted Cena didn't win the #RoyalRymble but think it was the right choice, it's a more interesting story if he gets more desperate for the last title run. Boy did Mr. 10 pop when Jey won though, which made it the right choice in my book.

One of the things I've enjoyed most about this summer break has been playing Magic with Mr. 9. He got the Foundations beginner box as a late birthday present and we've been shuffling up decks to enjoy a game most afternoons. #MagicTheGathering #MtG #MagicFoundations
