Everybody, if you can, do the Bartman (Woah)

Shake your body, turn it out if you're bad, man (Check it out, man)

Front to back, to the side, yes, you can-can (Bartman)

Everybody in the house, do the Bartman (Uh-huh)

“Four months ago, in Skrmetti, the Court used purported medical uncertainty to give Tennessee more flexibility to discriminate. Today, Alito used purported medical uncertainty to give Colorado less flexibility to protect.”

I've written my analysis of today's grim Supreme Court oral argument in the conversion therapy case:

As far as the Court's concerned, imaginary medical uncertainty gives states the authority to hurt queer kids, and takes away states' authority to protect them

If the Illinois National Guard ends up being deployed too, you can tell the difference between TX and IL by their patches

TX = Arrowhead with T
IL = Shield with Abe Lincoln’s head

Texas National Guard arrives in Illinois. They're calling them Meal Team 6.

My only reservation is that reasoning about sub processes is also a bit hard, maybe more hard than just Python. The GDAL API is really verbose but today’s LLMs make short work of it.

Like just shelling out to ogr2ogr and gdal_translate? Makes sense! Felt started there and that worked okay for a short while. Weird tabular formats always blow it up.

This is most of the programming I do by hand these days, I prefer the GDAL API to higher-level libs like Fiona (which Hobu tells me is “unusual”)

"Well, that's the perverse thing. All of this frenzied investment in AI is driven by people who seem unaware that much of the eco-system will be quickly commoditized, whether it's large language models, hyperscaler services or the underlying hardware, like CPUs and GPUs."

I mounted the battery, charge controller, and inverter into a workbench that also includes my table saw and miter saw. Mostly it sits in the garage like its predecessor but when I need to use the tools I can now wheel out one big thing instead of fussing with many little things.

That is some DeWalt Modern design. The tool companies are making worksite microwaves, boomboxes, and espresso machines, why not whole trucks matching the house style?
