The "keep politics out of sports" people pulled off the greatest psyop of my lifetime because they somehow convinced people that ESPN was non-stop politics when it wasn't remotely true and the end result is that ESPN is now more political than it's ever been in its existence.

instead of saying this was good strategy, maybe senate dems should say: "the republicans were going to kill people by starving them to death, and because we aren't monsters, we decided to let this fight go. We'll keep fighting. Stop electing monsters."
