Um, actually the northern lights only illuminated the northern hemisphere. The southern lights illuminated Australia.
The northern lights, normally only visible closer to the planet’s poles, were seen throughout the United States and Europe and also illuminated parts of Australia, because of an unusually strong geomagnetic storm Thursday night.

Auroras, normally only visible closer to the planet’s poles, were seen in New York and D.C. and as far south as Texas.

A paper in Nature suggests a quarter of heatwave events from 2000-23 would have been near impossible without anthropogenic climate change. The paper also indicates that major carbon emitters are responsible for around 50% of the increase in intensity of these events. ⚒️ 🧪

Climate change made 213 historical heatwaves reported over 2000–2023 more likely and more intense, to which each of the 180 carbon majors (fossil fuel and cement producers) substantially contributed.

The brains for my pool. The timer (which you don't see) is a smart device. This box has the controls for the pool light (3 super bright rgb led) controlled by Alexa, and the esp8266 (an Arduino-ish device) which monitors the pool temp every 10 seconds

New Jersey pays 70 billion into the Treasury than what it gets back, less than California at 79, but per capita, we're getting bent over . At 9.5mm people that's $7300 for every single person in this state. My $$$ to support backward thinking neanderthals.
