Fostering saves lives! Whether it’s long-term or a short stay through safety net programs, giving animals a safe home makes all the difference. That’s why earlier this week, I introduced bipartisan legislation to support foster volunteers with a tax credit.

This announcement feels premature. House Democrats haven’t seen the details. You’ll need our votes to pass it, and I’ll be a no if it includes cuts to revenue sharing. Those cuts are a big reason our property taxes are already high.

This legislation will ensure fair compensation when the power goes out (for homeowners and renters), tie rate hikes to performance, stop ratepayers from footing the bill for executive perks, and ban political donations from regulated utilities.
