Notice the font used for Bruce and Gordon is thinner than the font used for Batman. That little touch goes a long way to show us Bruce has a different Batman voice.

Knowing this was a four-issue series, I was beginning to wonder how they were going to fit in Griffin becoming The Invisible Man and going about his misadventures - especially as the pages dwindled. Then I realized, "Ah, this is a prequel to the movie." Which I now must see thanks to this comic.

Because he himself is a violent, mentally unwell man looking for an excuse to murder, Griffin cannot imagine someone with the "power" of invisibility not giving into their darkest fantasies. So he imagines Tommy, the young lad he kidnapped, doing just that.
